GOVERNMENT DISCOURAGED
DEFAULT IN PAYMENTS
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) DUNEDIN, This Day. Thc> Minister of Lands (the Hon. E. A. Bansom) had a short conference with the Land, Board this morning. Berferring to irrigation drainage payxnenfcs, the Minister said that many people in a position to pay were showing' such disinclination to meet their obligations in this respect that the Government was not ■ encouraged to provide such works. 'Mr. Bansom is proceeding to Otago Central tomorrow.
