DAIRY STOCK PRICES,
Wright, Stephenson, and Co., Ltd., Mastertuii, report holding a dispersal sale, of Mr. X. Harvey's herd at Dry River on Monday. The cows were iv good condition, and calving dates were given out at the sale. As is usual with buyers these days, discrimination was used in filling their requirements, and late ealvers and cows showing age were practically neglected. The best cows sold up to £6 2s 6c!, and prices ranged from £4 to £5. The average for the whole herd was £3 12s; this included late ealvers, several of which only made 20s to 30s. The milking plant, excluding engine, made £29, and milk cans, etc., made good values. Prices: — Cows due August, £3 7s 6d, £3 10s, £3 15s, £4, £4 ss, £4 10s, £4 15s, £5; £6, to £6 2s 6d; September ealvers, £3 ss, £3'l2s Gd, £3 17s 6d, to £4; late ealvers, 255, 30s, 355, £2, to £2 10s.
