ANNUAL TOURNAMENT

A,-r«eord number o£ associations will be represented: at the Dominion women's .hockey*' tournament,. which is to be held at Danrievirke from August 23 to August 30. Another feature of the tourney will by the fact that more South Island teams will, be present than for any previous fixture in the :North Island. The following draw has-been arranged:— A SECTION. First day: Canterbury v. Wairarapa B, Akitio v. Auckland, Feildlng B v. Southland. Second day: Canterbury v. Akitio, Wairarapa B v. Feilding B, Auckland v. Southland. Third day: Canterbury v. Auckland, Wairarapa B v. Southland, '•Akitio v. Feilding B. Fourth day: Canterbury y. Feilding B, Akitio v. Southland, Wairarapa B v. Auckland. Fifth day: Canterbury v. Southland, Auckland v. In the semi-finals two of the three section winners are to play off. The teamsto play are to be drawn by the tournament committee, if possible, in the presence of the managers or manageresses. The third of the section winners is to play one of the teams which was a runner-up in one of the sections. The finals have been arranged for the seventh day. This will be between the winners of the first semi-final and the winner of the other section.
