The Cuban strike spread like ■. wildfire during the weekend., One person waa killed and three wounded today,when there was another outbreak of violence. •■ The situation became a race between mediation and-open revolution. The united railway workers struck at mid-, night,: completely tying up the transportation facilities of the country. The Havana street-ear men and bus and taxi-drivers . struck last week. Restaurants, clubs, and other eating places here were closed today. Faced with the menace of anarchy, President Machado is prepared to call an extraordinary session of Congress to get authority to suspend again the constitutional guarantee, ana restore martial law. It is rumoured, 'that President Machado is ready _to yield to the people's will and resign office. .
