PARAPARAUMU MEETING
About ninety members attended th«j recent afternoon meeting of the Para* , paraumu Women's Institute. Mrs* | Brown (vice-president) presided. Two displays of folk dancing, wer«( given by the junior members, and games were played, Mrs. Bain winning the "musical parcel" in a rftijj game and Miss R. Maclean the prize for bests pig-torn out.of a piece of paper. Miss K. Lang gave a violin solo, and Mrs, A. Mills played several pianoforte solos^ A humorous sketch entitled "Heart's* love" was played in. which, the actors were Mrs. Sherring, Mrs. Maclsaai'^ Mrs. and Miss Burgess, and' Miss £< Lynch. . About £2 was taken, at the stalls and will be paid in to the-federation-funds. The hostesses were Mesdame* Garrett, Hughes, Treadwell, Sherring, L. Smith, and D. Sweetman.
