The "Financial News" directs attention to the importance of the appointment of a Eoyal Commission to investigate the banking, saying the Ottawa Assembly dreamt o£ a chain of central banks throughout the Empire, and events in all Dominions are moving in that direction. Tho prospect has aroused opposition from the banks of Canada and New Zealand, but zealots of a unified Empire monotary policy will fight hard to achieve it.
