PRICE OF EGGS
C. Bowdcn, Island Bay, complains thut the quotation in Monday's "Evening Post" of Is 2d per dozen wholesale for eggs; was incorrect; moreover, no refereuce was made to the age, grade, or source of supply. The correspondent also states that the wholesale price of eggs as at July 31, 1933, was Is 4d per dozen, as per invoice which can be produced, for maximum weight, quality, and merit. Tlie correspondent suggests that quotations should be obtained from reliable business sources. ' J , ["The Post's" quotation has-been confirmed at the source from which it. was obtained. The quality of the eggs was first grade, and the quotation was for large parcels. The wholesale price yesterday was quoted by the same merchants at Is Id per dozeil.] . ■■■■
