DANCE AT STOKES VALLEY

The hall at Stokes Valley was tastefully decorated with wattle, violets,1 and masses of foliage when the Women's Institute dance was held recently. An excellent orchestra was in j attendance, and Mr. W. Cobby was I M.C. A largo gathering enjoyed a varied programme of old-time and modern dances, and a splendid supper was arranged by Mrs. Wylie and her committee. ! Among tlioso present were Mrs. Hase (president), Mrs. Hurney (vicepresident), Mr. and Mrs. Cording, Mr. ! and Mrs. Bramwcll, Mr. and Mrs. Ilerdman, Mr. and Mis. Wylic, Mr. and Mrs. Adams, Mrs. Cording, Mr. and Mrs. Young, Miss White, Miss Lysatt, Mr. and Mrs*. Temble, Miss Howe, Mi1, and Mrs. Chiddick, Mr. and Mrs. • Cottle, also many friends from Wellington and the Hutt. The singing of "Auld Lang Syne" terminated a very happy evening.
