DICKENS FELLOWSHIP
PAGEANT PLAY READ
A very •cordial reception was received ■by Professor yon Zedlitz at the recent meeting of the Wellington branch of the Dickens Fellowship, the meeting marking the beginning of his second year as president. There was a good attendance of members. Mr. Sniytho occupied the chair during the early part of the evening, the principal portion of which was devoted to tlio reading of a three-act Dickens pageant play, which it is hoped to produce publicly at a later, date. With Mrs. Wakelin at the piano, tho incidental music to the play was,sung by Mr. Val. Jones, who also- gave a very spirited rendering of "The SergeantMajor.on Parade;" , Some new members were enrolled, and after the chairman had moved a vote of thanks to the performers, the branch song was sung and an enjoyable evening brought to a close.
