The New Zealand Farmers' Co-operative Distributing Company offered at Masterton yesterday 720 sheep, 160 head of cattle, including 109 dairy cows and heifers, and 30 pigs. The company reports that ewes in lamb and hoggets were keenly competed for, and sold at advanced prices. Fat wethers sold a little better than last week, while fat ewes were a little easier. Fat cattle improved considerably, while stores also advanced. Fat sheep: Extra prime heavy wethers, 25s to 2Gs 7d; prime wethers, 22s 9d to 24s 7d; medium wethers, 17s lOd to 19s 9d; extra prime heavy ewes, 19s 9d to 21s 7d; good ewes, 16s 9d to 18s Cd; fat lambs, 16s 9d to 18s; light fat Southdown ewes, 12s Cd to 14s Id; fat maiden do., 20s 6d.
