MR. JUSTICE ADAMS RETIRES
Mr. Justice Adams retires from the Supreme Court Bench, today, after service extending over twelve years. Members of the Canterbury Law Society met yesterday for the purpose : of saying farewell to Mr. Justice 1 Adams, and a high tribute to the retir-1 ing Judge's ability and kindliness was ■ paid by the president (Mr. E. Twyneham), who unveiled a portrait of Mr. Justice Adams painted by Mr., A. F. Nicoll. ' The Government is considering the appointment of a successor to Mr. Justice Adams, and an early announcement will be made. ' ..
