THE DIOMEDE'S REFIT
NEW OFFICERS AND RATINGS
(By Telegraph.) (Special to the "Evening Post.") AUCKLAND, August 1. H.M.S. Diomedc, which has completed her biennial refit at tho Devonport Naval Base, will be commanded by new officers as from Wednesday, when she will complete to her full complement. Captain V. A. Crutchloy, V.C., will hand over command of tho cruiser probably tomorrow evening to Captain Cosmo Graham, who will arrive at Auckland by the Eangitane. . Other officers who are arriving on the Rangitane are: Lieutenant M. A. C. H. Hardcastle, Lieutenant P. Bethell, Lieutenant C. H. Havergal, and Sub-Lieuten-ant R. H. A. Kidson and Lieutenant M. Archdall, of the Royal Marines. In addition to the officers, about 150 Imperial ratings are arriving on the Eangitane to replace those who returned to England when tho Diomede withdrew for refit. Most of the cruiser's complement consists now of New Zealand ratings. ' The refit of the Diomedo has been highly successful. It is stated that tho work could not have been dono better ia English naval dockyards.
