NEW YORK, July 31. Miss Betty Nuthall captured the singles title in the final of the Maidstone invitation lawn tennis tourney, defeating Miss Alice Marble, 5-7, 6-3, 6-0. In the women's doubles final, Miss Margaret Scriven (England) and Miss Elizabeth Byan (U.S.A.) defeated Miss Marble and Mrs. Wills-Moody (U.S.A.), 6-2, 9-7.
