GANDHI'S LOST LEADERSHIP
■(Received August 2, 2.30 p.m.) ' : CALCUTTA, August 1. The Royal Air Force this morning bombed Kotkai village, near the frontier, but tile. damage is not known. If it is considered insufficient punishment, more bombing will be done in tho evening. Mr. Gandhi is expected to bo released in a certain place under ordors not to loavo it. Disobedience of tho order means rearrest and trial under a special law recently enacted. The country throughout is apathetic, the news indicating Mr. Gandhi's lose leadership.
