WATCHING DEVELOPMENTS
TROOPS AND AEROPLANES
(British Official Wlreless.l (Received August 1, 11 a.m.) RUGBY, July 31. Developments in the situation on th» North-West Frontier of India are being closely watched here. Troops are advancing from Peshawar to the support of the loyal Halimozal tribe, which is threatened by a neighbouring tribe of Mohmands. Meanwhile,, the Government of India's demand for the surrender by Bajauri tribesmen of certain agitators whose conduct threatens peace and the fulfilment of international obligations has not been complied with. Royal Air Force' aeroplanes accordingly have flown over Bajaur and today dropped notices, warning villages of their intention to; bomb certain specifically limited objectives. The aeroplanes were fired at when over the village of Khar. , -
