(Beceived July 31, 2 p.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. The Bailway Commission has decided drastically t6 reduce in status the employees held responsible for the Bowairig railway accident.

Tho finding of the Bail way Board inquiry into the Albury mail accident at Bowning-was to the effect that the accident was due to the breaking of a switch rail in the catch points, while the locomotive was passing over it.

The negligence of the inspecting engineer, the resident engineer, and tho sub-inspector in carrying out an examination of the catch points made thosd officers equally responsible with tha ganger for the accident. ;
