A RALLY OF YOUTH

A grand rally of youth, under the auspices of the Hntt Valley Christian Youth Movement was held yesterday afternoon in the De Luxe Theatre, Lower Hutt. There were some 700 young people present, representing the Bible Classes, Boy Scouts, Girl Guides, and Toe H. Mr. J. S. Reid, president of the movement, presided. Devotions were led by the Rev. C. Horwood, and the Bible-reading was given by the Rev. J. Thomson Macky. Captgin Squires, of the Church Army, gave an address on "What does .Christ Offer to Youth Today?" basing his address on Luke 9:23, "If any man will come after me, let him deny himself and take up his. cross daily and follow me." The singing was led by St. Stephen's Orchestra, and members^ of Toe IT acted as ushers. During the service Miss P. Martin rendered the solo "Consider the Lilies." •
