Scoring another win, and thereby repeating their performance oE last month, the Tort Nicholson- A team enhanced, their prospects of winning the K. W. McVilly Challenge Shield ou Saturday afternoon. The ' race was the second of a series'of three, and was held over a 25 miles' course from Petone Esplanade to Ouinn's Post and back. Fine form was shown, by the winners, their teamwork being excellent. . Seven teams, each comprising five men, started. Weather conditions were fairly good, although on the outward journey a head wind slowed the riders up a little. Coming back, however, a fast pace was clapped on, the, three A teams averaging 29-30 miles an hour. Some of the weaker teams broke up badly. There was a large attendance of club supporters and cycling officials, and they were provided with some thrilling finishing efforts. Results: — Port Nicholson A (P. N. Robinson, cap- ' tain, L. AY.
