LYALL BAY AND KILBIRNIE

The Lyall Bay and Kilbirnio branch of the League of Mothers held a very successful meeting recently, when husbands attended with their wives. Mrs. R. W. B. Young (president) occupied the chair, and the Dominion president, Mrs. Elliott, and the Wellington provincial president, Mrs. Charles White, were present. Mrs. Young welcomed the guests (tho husbands), stating that it was the first meeting of this naturo that the Lyall Bay branch had held. She introduced Mrs. Elliott and Mrs. White, both of whom replied. , Professor Gould addressed the meeting on the "Psychology of the Child in its various Stages." This was most informative and interesting. A very hearty vote of thanks was accorded the speaker. The contributing artists to the \ programme were Miss Dorothy Robson, Mrs. Martyn Williams, and Mrs. East. Supper was served by the committee, assisted by somo of tho members.
