AUSTRALIA IN CREDIT
Official returns received from 9 Hong Kong show that the value of goods imported to that colony from Australia for May last was approximately £52,090. Exports to Australia were .valued at £6450, leaving a balance of trade in favour of the Commonwealth of £45,640 for the month; The total value of exports of merchandise from Australia to Horig Kong for tho first five months of 1933 were valued at approximately £250,090, whilst imports to Australia from that colony for the same period were estimated at £35,450. The principal items of export from Australia were flour, butter, frozen meats, dried milk,. and' sandalwo'od; etc. The total imports of these items to Hong Kong from all sources for the first five months of this year and- Australia's share..are as follows:— i- • .. ;■''..
