Potte-, sitting in a Municipal Court in Now York, ruled that a woman who had been-struck by a golf ball while driving, licr automobile along the highway was entitled to damages and that a driven golf ball was a'dangerous and destructive object. He... awarded 750 dollars to Anne B. Gleason,'w]io brought suit'for 1000 dollars against the Hillcvest. Golf Club, and Arthur J. Knorr, ..theatrical production manager, who drovo tho ball. Knorr pleaded that a-gust of wind had carried.the ball off tho-course and contended'that the accident was "an aot of God.". JustiecvPettc, in finding stgnjnst both defendants jointly, ruled Knorr had sliced badly, and in his decision indicated-a slice was no "act of God.'' ' '"■
