LONDON MARKETS FIRM
The butter market in London is firm, according to reports by cablegram of the close of business on Thursday) received by the Dairy Board today. Prices for New Zealand salt butter are from 82s to 84s per cwt, and unsalted from 80s to, 86s. The retail price is unchanged at lOd, and, Danish is selling retail at lid to Is. Aus^; tralian salt butter is equal to 81s to 83a; The Danish spot price is 98s to 100s. The stock position is as follows:— BUTTER. July, 28. July 28. 1933. 1932. New Zealand 9,800 5,026 Australian ........ 3,600 2,150 ', ' 13,400 7,176 The cheese market is steady, New Zealand retail price being unchanged at,6d per lb. New Zealand, white at 49s to 499 6d per cwt, and coloured 51s to 525. Canadian cheese, is selling, white 64s to 68s, coloured e.i.f., 53s Od. The stock position is as follows:— July, 28.
