POLICE CHANGES
The Commissioner of Police (Mr. "W. G. Wohlmann) announces the following promotions and transfers in the Force:—
Sergeant Simister is transferred from ■Wellington to Nelson.
Detective H. H. Russell, of Palmerston North, is promoted to tho rank of sergeant, and transferred to the uniformed branch, for duty in Wellington.
Sergeant S. G. Hall, of Oamaru, is promoted to senior sergeant, and transferred to tho detective branch for duty as a senior detective at Auckland.
Sergeant G. J. Paine is transferred from 'Wellington to Te Kuiti, where he will be in charge.
Constable E. W. Straffon, of Brooklyn, is promoted to the rank of sergeant for duty at "Wellington. Constable W. H. Andrews, of Motueka, will replace Constable Straffon at tho Brooklyn station.
