HOME FOR AGED NEEDY

The residents of the Home for .Aged Xoedy, .Ncwtown, were last week provided with two entertainments by parties of thoughtful mid sympathetic citizens. One function wns nvvniißcd by Mr. A. Haley, the pupils of Miss V. Boesley, and members of the Lyceum Club. A capital programme was submitted, including an amusing playetle, "Engaging a Cook," dancing, songs, and instrumental items. The second entertainment was arranged by Mrs. Kidston, whose pupils gave a dance recital, comprising English. Spanish, Dutch, and Russian dances, and comedy items. The costumes worn were those of the several countries mentioned, and reflected great credit on the parents of the young entertainers.- Mrs. Thompson was accompanist.
