Tho Minister of Lands (the Hon. E. JL Ransom) will return to "Wellington thii evening from Dannevirke. The Minister of Public Works (tha Hon. J. Bitchener) returned to Wellington this morning from the south. Mr. J. W. Matthewson, general.traffic manager of the Union Steam Ship' Co., left, by the .Makura today for a/ holiday in Sydney. Mr. 0. W.Battray 3Rd Mr. G: E. Ritchie arrived, from, the south this morning to attend a meeting of directors of the Union Steam Ship Co. Mr. Rattray left for Sydney by the Makura this afternoon. A resolution of sympathy -with tha. relatives of the late Mr. James Davidson, who died recently in America, was carried, members standing in silence, at the Rotary Club luncheon today. During a visit to New Zealand Mr. David* son founded the Wellington Rotary.: Club, which, was the first of its kind, in the Dominion. Mrs. A. Me Vicar has been re-elected a parents' representative on the 3oard of Governors of the Wellington Technical Cqllegefor a term of three .years. Mrs. R. A. Norwood has been elected to "the aboard in a similar capacity. Mrs.. Norwood takes the place of Mrs. M. E. Tripe, who recently resigned. Mr. L. W. MeKonzie has been elected to the board as representative of the Wellington City Council and the Makara County Council.. ~..,. A tribute to the work of Mr. R.
