MARKET IN BELGIUM
NEW ZEALAND PRODUCE
LONDON, July 21.
The Hon. 11. Masters, New Zealand Minister of Industries and Commerce, today had a long discussion with M. Suetens, the Belgian Ministor of Foreign Affairs, in connection with tho trade agreement between New Zealand and Belgium, so far as moat, butter, cheese, and apples are concerned.
There is a grave difficulty in the way of obtaining favourable terms for New Zealand butter, but there are possibilities in connection with cheeso and apples.
It has been arranged that Mr. Masters will go to Brussels at the conclusion of the World Conference to meet tho Belgian Prime Minister and tho Minister of Customs, and see if any reciprocal arrangements can be come to. The difficulty in regard to butter is that Bolgium has a most-fav-oured-nation treaty with Denmark and Holland. Still, tho situation is not without possibilities. These will be fully exploited by Mr. Masters.
