'•Wool sales closed today. Values, compared with closing rates last series, were as follows: Merino, greasy, good to super merino greasy, low to medium, 20 per cent, up, 25 per cent, up; merino scoured, good to super, merino scoured, low to medium, and greasy fine crossbreds, 20 per cent, up; greasy medium crossbreds, 15 per: cent, up, 20 per cent, up; greasy coarse crossbreds, 15 per cent, up; scoured fine .crossbreds, 15 per cent, to 20 per cent, up; scoured medium crossbreds and coarse crossbreds, 10 per cent, up; slipes, fine, medium, and coarse, 10 per cent, to 15 per cent, up; closing values of merino, greasy good to super, Is 4%d to Is 6d per lb; merino greasy low to medium, lid to Is 2%d; merino, scoured good to super, Is lOd to 2s 2d; merino, scoured low to medium, Is 4d to Is, 8d; greasy fine crossbreds, Is' to Is 3d; greasy medium crossbreds, 7d to 9'/id; greasy coarse crossbreds, 5%d to 7d; scoured fine erossbreds, Is 4d to Is lid; scoured medium crossbreds, 10% dto Is 2d; scoured coarse crossbreds, 6d to 9d; slipes, fine, ll%d to Is 3^d; slipes, medium, 7%d to ll%d; slipes, coarse, 5%d to 9d. Total sold, 106,000 bales, as follows:—To the Home trade, 54,000 bales; to the Continent, 54,000 bales; to America, 2000----bales. Carried forward. 45,000 bales.
