WATERSIDE WORKERS
ELECTION OF OFFICERS
The annual ballot for official and executive positions of the Wellington Waterside Workers' Industrial Union of Workers was held last Friday. Mr. W. M. Council was returning officer,* and •Messrs. E. N. Butler and M. Carlson were scrutineers. Tho positions of treasurer and trustees were not contested, tho oJfici.Tls being returned unopposed. Tho results of contestecl positions, with the votes recorded for each1 individual, were as follows:—
President: P. Cox 443 (elected), W. H. Rose 221, P. Connors 108.
Vice-president: L. Glover (3i7 (elected), A. E. Yarker 232.
Secretary: J. "O. Johnson 4G7 (elected), 11. W. Burroughs 2(53, J. E. Napier 142. \
Walking delegate: E. E. Canham 495 (elected), J. G. Bruco 215, G. Paton ID2.
Treasurer: Mr. A. Cobley (unopposed).
Local disputes committee: L. Glover 041 and ». O. Johnson 503 (elected), W. 11. Rose 213, W. J. Elackio 201, J. E. Napier 200, A. E. Yarker 1115.
| No. 1 section (deep sea): J. Bullm 207 and A. Moycs -189 (elected), F. C. Ho well 161, H. C. Nyo 124.
No. 2 section (coastal and intercolonial): W. J. Blackio 139 and J. Carr 130 (elected), C. Henry 129, C. J. Jarvis 84.
Coal section: A. Leary 112 and A, Benson 88 (elected), C.'Goortall 60, J. O'Flaherty 56, J. H. Dunn 2:3.
