ELECTION OF OFFICERS

The annual ballot for official and executive positions of the Wellington Waterside Workers' Industrial Union of Workers was held last Friday. Mr. W. M. Council was returning officer,* and •Messrs. E. N. Butler and M. Carlson were scrutineers. Tho positions of treasurer and trustees were not contested, tho oJfici.Tls being returned unopposed. Tho results of contestecl positions, with the votes recorded for each1 individual, were as follows:—

Vice-president: L. Glover (3i7 (elected), A. E. Yarker 232.

Walking delegate: E. E. Canham 495 (elected), J. G. Bruco 215, G. Paton ID2.

Treasurer: Mr. A. Cobley (unopposed).
