DANNEVIRKE, This Day.

Speaking at'tho opening of the new school at Wimbledon yesterday, the Minister in charge of tho Department of Scientific ancl Industrial Bosoareh (tho Hon. E. A. Bansom), referring to the success of the recent shipment of New Zealand chilled beef to England, said that it opened up wonderful possibilities for the meat industry of the Dominion. Regarding tho improvement in wool the Minister said ho was sorry to see that some organisations had raised objections to the ..proposed Dominion' scheme, which fie believed if brought into effect would be for the botterment of the sheep farmers. Those criticising the scheme had not attempted to offer some better one in its place.
