ELECTION OF OFFICERS
"Mrs. J. B. Smith presided at the annual meeting of the- Northland branch of tho British and Foreign Bible Society. Tho organising secretary gav-e interesting details of tho 129 th annual mooting of tho society in London last May. . .'■■•' Mrs. Crawford (secretary) gave an illuminating account of mission work in Niu'o and in Samoa, and the president spoke on. the mission work done in Baroto'nga. A visitor from England described the work of/tho- society In" sbmo districts in the South of England.

The following officers were elected: — President, Mrs. J. E. Smith (reelected); secretary, Mrs. R. J. Crawford (re-elected); collectors, Mesdames J.-.E.. Smith, Porte, MeDougall, and Misses Mawson and Craig. , The organising secretary warmly thanked all for their faithful and successful 'work ;o£ last y«ar.
