Toffee: 2 cups brown sugar, $ cup water, 1 tablespoon vinegar, 1 tablespoon butter. Method: Place a.ll in a pan, atir until it boils, then boil without stirring until a little tried in cold water snaps. Pour into buttered dish. This can bo turned into butterscotch by adding four ounces butter and using less water. "SEAGULL" (7). Paekakariki.
