THOR BEATS CAPPIELLO

The French Derby (Prix dv Jockey Club) was run at Chantilly on June li, and it resulted in a victory for M. Marcel Boussac's bay colt Thou (Ksaf — Lasarte), who won by a length from Baron E. de Rothschild's Ccunping and M. L. Volterra's Casterari. Lady Grauard's Cappiello, the favourite, was fourth.

thor was ridden by E. C. Elliott, and lie reversed his running with Cappiello, Steve Donoghue up, in the Prix Lupin, which Cappiello won by a neck.

Two weeks later (June 25) there was another reversal of running between CapXnello and Thor in the Grand Prix do Paris at Longchamp, Cappiello winning by half a length from Thor and Assuerus. — '"Rangatira."
