WAR RELICS GO
Ex-soldiers have succeeded in a campaign to abolish captured German war material which has occupied parks and beauty spots for a dozeir years at Barry, the South Wales holiday resort. Final steps wore taken recently by tho local council to remove tanks and guns, and turn them into scrap il'on. The sweeping away of war relics is (he result, of pressure by the. British Legion at Barry, who speaking as exservicemen, advocated tho abolition of all reminders of tlie last war. The proceeds of the sale or' the relics as scrap iron will bo devoted to the children's boot fund.
