It is believed .that "Mr.-.Fred Hart,*a farm labourer in the Hawera. district, was the holder of the winning ticket in the "Luck at Last" art union. Mr. Hart bought some tickets at Palmerston North tinder the nbm-de-pluhie of "Passing Thro," and it is believed this may lie the correct reading-: of "Pasing Throu,"1 which was-tele-graphed on Saturday night by theiPress Association. Although 'he has been about Hawera for some years, Mr. Hart, is ne-w to the Mokoia district and could not be traced, but'his sister, a Tesirlent of Hawera, confirmed the "Passing Thro" pseudonym. '-Sy.ie said that bad luck had dogged her ""Brother ,all his life. Previously he had always been a farm labourer. He had- experienced a long chapter of accidents, in ','Ms career. !
