PAINTINGS OF BIRDS.

Some beautiful water colour paintings of New Zealand birds are attracting jnuch attention in tho window of the Kodak Company's shop, Lambton Quay. The paintings are the work of Miss L. A. Daff, and she has succeeded admirably in conveying the distinctive beauty of the birds of this country. The exhibition is held under the auspices of the New Zealand Native Bird Protection Society, which has brought out an album containing reproductions of Miss Baft's paintings. The work of the Native Bird Society is educational, and among the paintings are some of birds that are not often seen by'city dwellers. The present paintings will remain in the window for about a week, after which they will be removed and other naintings of birds put in their place.
