MORNINGTON CLUB
The qualifying rounds for the Sievwright Cup -were played by the Mornington Club during the weekend over 36 holes. The following sixteen players qualified:—X. Stephen 125 net,-Lea. McGirr 139, K. McKeen .142, W. Knudsen 144, S. WelsEord 144, >'.. Day 147, T. C. Johnston 148, A. Clarke 349, W. Taylor 149, W. J. Cooch 150, L. Kvans.lflO, W. V. Morton 152, T. O'Keliy 1/i;}, N. Jacobi 154. V. Laycock 154,.and A. Thompson 105. \V. Davidge and W. O'Neill each, had scores o£ 155, but lost the toss for last place. The draw for the first round is as follows:—X. Stephen v. A. Thompson; A. Clarke v. W. Taylor; E. Day v. L. Evans; W. Knudscn v. T. O'Kclly; K. McKeen. v. :>s T. Jacobi; S. WelsEord v. W. V. Morton; T. C. Johnston, v. W. J. Cooch; Les. IMcGirr v. P. Laycock. The best net card returned during the weekend was that of K. Stephens, 76, 22— Rl, which is noted by the handicappers. L. "McGirr returned 74, 7—67. Ho is also being attended to.
