CARTERTOX, This Day
At Cnrferton on Friday evening an exhibition of poultry from the pens o£ local breeders was held. There were four classcn, judged on utility standard by Mr. 0. Anderson. Entries numbered 46, comprising 29 light breedsi and 17 heavy. The champion bird of the show was the Rev. W. F. Stent's Black Orpington hen, and tho reserve champion was a White Leghorn cockerel exhibited by Mr. J. Gibbons. Results: —
Light Breeds (Female).—J. Gibbons, 1: A. Kinp. 2; J. Gibbons, a. There were 18 entries. Light Breeds (Males).—J. Gibbons, •1: V. Gordon, 2; J. Gibbons, 3. Eleven entries. . Heavy Breeds (Female).—Rev. W. I. Stent, 1; G. Edge, 2; Rev. W. F. Stent, 3. Nine entries. Heavy Breeds (Males).—G. Edge.. 1: Rev. W. F. Steut, 2; F. Milton, 3. Six entries. ■
