APPLICATIONS TO BOARD

As at July 1, the number of applications the Unemployment Board had re : ceived under its building subsidy scheme totalled 683. The" number of men estimated, to be employed was 3835, and the total estimated cost of the buildings was £407,295. Of this total .of £407,295; however, £25,815 worth of work was rejected as the applications represented by that sum did not comply with the rules pertaining to tho granting of the subsidy.
