GOODS TRANSPORT LICENCES
Applications, for goods < -service licences for motor-vehicles are being considered by tho No. G Transport Licensing Authority today. Mr. G. A. Troup is chairman of the Authority, the other members being Messrs. W. I. Armstrong and 8. Jickell. Evidence from a number-Of applicants was heard relative to their services between Wellington, Palmerston North, and Masterton, and intermediate points, and tho Authority's decisions will be given this afternoon.
A special meeting of the members of the Wellington Operative Butchers' Union will be held in the Trades Hall tonight, commencing at S o'clock.
