Investigations of the circumstance* of the death of tho little boy who waa( found apparently drowned at Pointi Halswell at midday on Friday, and of! a woman who was found dead in ttj flat in Ohiro Road some hours later ard being carried out by the police. It has been ascertained that . th 4 woman was Mrs. Cecilia Smith, ■ $ widow. The little boy his been identified as her son, George Noel Smith, aged! The hospital authorities report toda^ that George Janes, who was rescue* •from drowning, at Thorndon at 1.31 V p.m. on Friday, is making "satisfactory} progress. ■ •
