SWERVE OFF ROAD
TWO WOMEN HURT IN TRUCK
(By Telcsraph.—Pi-ess Association.) AUCKLAND, July. 2. IVo persons were admitted to hospital as a result of a motoring accident on the Great North Boad, two miles north of Henderson, this evening. The victims r.-ere Mrs. Phoebe Judd, aged 80, of Eltham, and her daughter, Mrs. Jessie Collett, of Swanson. Both suffered concussion and abrasions. The two women were in the cab of a motor-track, and were being driven by Ernest Collett >to Swanson. Tbfi vehicle swerved suddenly off the metal road and jumped a thieo-foot bank on to the footway. After striking a power pole it carried away several posts of a wire fence. . The truck was extensively damaged, the bodywork and cab being shattered. Thp Coiletts had with them a young child who escaped injury.
