SYDNEY, July 2. ■ ' Herbert;/Francis:Perkins, 43 years*.of age, a letter-carrier at Ehfieid, battered his wife, his daughter, aged twelve, and a baby with a trenching: tool; all are ' dead. A. 'small"boy was1 taken to hospital in a critical condition. > Perkins committed suicide, almost severing his head from his body. Neighbours state Perkins had "been worrying over a departmental inquiry.
