OBITUARY

MR. R. E. HOWELL

Many friends'will regret to hear of the death of Mr. Robert Edward Howell, which took place last night. The lato Mr. Howell was a member', of a wellknown Southland family, being the second son of the lato Captain John Howell, of "Fairlight" Station, Lake Wakatipu.r Mr. Howell was educated at Waitaki Boys' High School, and thirty-six: years ago came to: Wellington, becoming a well-known resident. He leaves a widow, two daughtors, Mrs. *R.G. Blow and Mrs. P. St. J. Keenan, and one son, Mr. Leslie Howell. Mrs. G. H. Butler, of. The Terrace, is a sister of the deceased.
