Boy Scouts and similar organisations, except the Catholic group, havo beeu dissolved throughout Germany and their funds and property seized preparatory to welding them into a,"National Youth Group" in pursuance of Herr Hitler's clai_i that Germany's youth belongs exclusively to the Nazis. The disbandnieiit of all Christian trade unions and prohibited worker* and employers' organisations apart from thosb officially recognised 'ha 3 been ordered. . Herr Ley, chief of staff of the Nazis, is also attacking Catholic and Protestant workers' associations ' which are said to be hindering the construction of the German Workers' Front. He declares "the revolution is not yet ended. It will take measures against "'Black Catholic' reactions the same as against other types of- reaction." The Catholic Episcopate, fearing for its own organisations, in which it is estimated there are 1,500,000 Germaa youths, has issued a'statement reminding the Nazi Government of Herr Hitler's promise of freedom to the Church and recognition of its educational work.
