Nelson Bitton, the horne7 secretary, of.tile* society, and the Rev: W.. Alfred-.l.riy<SY [bi . tha L.M.S. board." Mr. NelsrinY-Bitton . went to' Shanghai, in November,' 1897, where ho laboured ,for fifteen years, and, became a highly 'valued missionary. From;- 1908 to 1911 „<-. was associate-editor 'of the "Chinese, Recorder," and represented the society's Cjiina.jnissionarics. at the; .World •Missionary - - Conference, Edinburgh", 1910. In 1912 he was appointed orgau;'sing secretary of'the L.M.S., becoming home secretary in 1914. Mr. Bitton is an interesting speaker and writer.. The Rev. J. AlfredTKaye is pastor of the' New ■ Court Church, Tollington Park, London, and one 'of the most highly esteemed men in British Congregationalism. He'l" beoama chairman of the L.M.S, board; iii; 1931; is I now chairman of the Southern Committee which controls the L.M.S.,work in Africa, Madagascar, and 'the Southern Pacific. Mr. K.iye is 'making this trip at his own expense- in order, to obtain first-hand khowledee ■of conditions in the various fields. Tomorrow will bet'observed by tha Cohgrefrational churchos as L.M.S. Sunday, when the members of the deputation will occupy tho various Congregational pulpits. A final public meeting is advertised for Monday evening at 7.30 o'clock in the Cambridge Terrace Church. ■"'
