After the trials on Thursday the Taranaki Rugjby football selectors decided upon thie following team for the representative! match with Wellington at Hawera next Wednesday:— Pull-back, Dodd (Celtic). Three-quarters, Kinsella (Star), Fookcs (Old i Boys), Rutherford (Old Boys). . . ■ ■ Five-eighths, Potaka (Waimate), Sangster (Stiiatford). Half-back, _ Dymond (Empire Old Boys). V ' ■ , Forwards, ! Gargan (Waimate), J Young (Strafford), Fowler (Clifton). R. Young (Stratford), D. Murphy (Kaponga), E, Murphy (Hawera), Baldwin (Empire Old .Boys), Clarke (Okaiawa). Emergencies-—-Backs, Mace (Old Boys), Ross i(Star); forwards, Davison (Tukapa), Fastier (Stratford). _ Commenting upon the selection, a Taranaki .writer .. ("Scrummage") states: "Supporters can rest assured of the merits? of the Taranaki forwards, but the new .back line will be watched with interest.
