Women's doubles: Miss Eyan and Mme. Mathieu, Misses Heeley and Bound, Mile. Sigart and Miss Scriven, Miss Nuthall. and Mrs. Whittirigstall. Mixed doubles: Maier and. Miss Eyan, Borotra and Miss Nuthall, Hughes, and Mrs. Moody, Parquharson and Miss Heeley. The seedings for Wimbledon, in order of merit, are:—Vines. 1, Crawford 2, Cachet 3, Austin 4 { Sutter 5, Perry 6, Satoh 7, Lee 8. -In tho women's singles: Mrs. Moody 1, Miss Bound 2, Miss Scriven 3L, Mme.~-Mathieu 4, Miss Jacobs s', Fraulein Krahwinkel 6, Mllet Jedrezjbwska (Poland) 7, Mile. Payot (Switzerland) 8. As the seedings are virtually a ranking of the *eight best players, this shows that the Wimbledon -committee considers Crawford the world's , second player. Vines and Crawford cannot meet before the final. . In the first round, E. D. Andrews meets. Menzel (Czechoslovakia), and Stedman meets Olliff (England). Andrews and Stedman meet Metcalf and Vinall in. the first round of the doubles. Andrews is drawn in the first quarter of the singles, and others in this section include , Vines, Perry, and Bernard.
Menzel is first player in Czechoslovakia, and last season beat ■ Crawford at Monte Carlo. .In the French championships he beat Brugnon» and Perry. Olliff is fifth player in Britain. Last year, with y Perry, he won the British hard court doubles championship. This year he and Perry were defeated by McGrath and $vist, .
