AUSTRALIA'S TARIFF
GOVERNMENT REVERSE SENATE CARRIES MOTION (Received June 21, 11 a.m.) CANBERRA, This Day. The Government suffered, its first re-' verso in the tariff debate in the Senate, when a motion requesting the House of Representatives to delete the deferred duties on tinned plates from the tariff schedule w<is agreed to by 14 votes to 13. Tho Houso of Representatives is unlikely to givo assent to the motion.
