PUKEORA SANATORIUM (By/Telegraph.—Press: Association.); : WAIPUKURAU; June 20. The Waipawa Hospital Board, foli lowing negotiations with the Department of Health, and with the concurrence of central'Hawke's Bay local bodies interested; has agreed to assume from. October control of the 1 Pukeora Sanatorium for males suffer--1 ing from pulmonary tuberculosis. The agreement gives the board the 1 right to relinquish 'control at the end ;of two years or subsequently upori giving three months'.notice. The de- ; partment is to make:a- grant tp: meet 1 replacements, renovations, and repairs for a period of five.years. It is .proposed! to reduce the bed establishment to 100.- The change involves some retrenchment of the staff.
