WEDDINGS
HAWKER—HOTTER. The- wedding of Dorecn Ltfllian, second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. T. H. Hotter, of Hawcra, and Gordon Skingley, elder son of Mr. and Mrs. 11. S. Hawker, Tinakori Koad, was solemnised at St. Paul's Pro-Cathedral recently, the Rev. A. T. B. Page officiating. Tho bride, who was escorted by her father, wore a long frock of ivory satin, falling in graceful flares from . the knees. Two side sprays of orange blossom fastened her dainty lace veil, and she carried a sheaf of ivory chrysanthemums with lemon touches. Miss Freda Hawker, who attended her, wore a frock of deep cornflower blue mariette made on similar lines, and a picture felt hat to tone. Her sheaf was of delphiniums of tho same shade as her frock, and' golden chrysanthemums. A reception, which only relatives and intimate friends attended, was held at the Eitz. The bride's mother, wearing a frock of floral blue taffeta with a blue velvet coatee and toque to tone, received the guests. '. -'She was Assisted by the bridegroom's mother, who wore 'a"brown marocain frock with tangerine georgette trimmings. ' Both carried bouquets to tone with their frocks. The bridegroom was a popular member of the Wellington College Old Boys Football Club.
